Delivery

Is delivery of the bike and accessories free?

Yes! If you buy an Electra bicycle, electric bike or accessories for at least 99 euros, we will deliver the goods for free within Estonia.

When will I receive my ordered bicycle and accessories?

We know fast delivery is important, so we process orders diligently Monday through Friday. We do our best to dispatch an order within 24 hours of receiving it, but please note that we cannot always guarantee this. In general, shipments within Estonia arrive at the destination specified by you within 2-3 working days after placing the order and receiving the payment. In very exceptional cases, you have the right to deliver the goods within 15 calendar days. You can be sure that if your order has been successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation email about the order. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be shipped the following Monday, or the next business day in the event of a holiday.

How do I get the bike and bike accessories I ordered?

The bike will arrive fully assembled. All you have to do is start cranking. We deliver the bicycle and electric bicycle to you by courier. The courier will contact you before delivering the bicycle. We send additional equipment by parcel machine. When the package has arrived at the parcel machine, you will receive an SMS and an e-mail about it. If your bicycle or accessories have been delivered, please check its condition immediately, complaints discovered later and damages incurred are beyond our responsibility. However, we always try to work with reliable delivery partners to avoid such incidents.

Return

Can I return the bicycle I ordered?

We understand that finding the perfect bike can sometimes be a challenge. If your bike or accessories do not meet your expectations, don’t worry! You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return an item purchased from our online store and receive a refund.

In order to receive a refund, we ask that all returned items be in perfect condition and unused, exactly as they were when they arrived. This means having the original box, packaging, labels, manuals and other included items. For return, the bike must be packed as it was when it arrived before handing over to the courier.

What do I have to do if I want to return a bike or accessories?

To return a bicycle or accessories, contact our customer service electra@electrabike.eu or +372 5093687. We will send a courier to pick up the bicycle. Additional equipment that arrived with a parcel machine, please return it also with a parcel machine.

How much does it cost to return a bicycle?

Rest assured that once we have received and inspected the returned bicycle and/or accessory, we will refund you. From which we deduct the bicycle transport fee, which is a reasonable 35 euros per bicycle. When returning accessories with a parcel machine, we ask that you pay the parcel machine fee immediately at the time of sending.

The most frequently asked questions about electric bicycles

Do I have to crank an electric bike?

Yes, Electra only has electric bikes that have a cranking assist motor. This means that if you do not crank the pedals, the engine will not activate. The engine gives you extra power when cranking from +40% to +300% depending on the selected power mode and engine type.

How far can I ride an electric bike?

With models with a Bosch mid-range motor: on average about 75 km per charge.
Hyena rear hub motor with mutels: about 40 km with an average full charge.
But it is influenced by many factors:

  • the weight of the rider together with the bicycle – the heavier the backpack you have with you, for example, the more energy is needed.
  • motor and battery power – a high-quality and smart motor saves energy and increases driving range.
  • environment – ​​road quality, wind, temperature, etc. play a very important role

In other words, if you don’t have a backpack, the wind is behind you, the road is downhill and smooth, and it’s warm outside, your journey with one battery charge is considerably longer than if the conditions are the opposite. Therefore, depending on different conditions, the mileage range can be very large: 30-160 km with Bosch engines and 20-60 km with Hyena engines.

What is the maximum speed of an electric bike?

In principle, the electric bicycle has no speed limit, but the motor stops assisting after 25 km/h.

How long does it take to charge an electric bike battery?

Electra uses two types of batteries. The Bosch 500 wh battery charges to 100% in 4.5 hours and the Hyena 250 wh battery charges to 100% in 4 hours.

Does the battery need to be removed from the bike for charging?

You don’t have to, but you can if you want. The Bosch battery can be charged on the e-bike and can also be charged when the battery is removed from the e-bike. The Hyena battery can only be charged on the electric bike.

Can the battery be removed from the bike?

Yes, Bosch batteries are available. No special tools are needed for this. You only need the key (included) to unlock the battery. Battery lock is included for security purposes. Hyena batteries cannot be removed, they are fully integrated.

Can I ride my e-bike when it’s raining?

Yes, because the Electra motors and batteries are IP 54 moisture resistant (dust and splash proof), so riding in wet conditions is not a problem.

Can I ride an electric bike in winter when it’s sub-zero?

Yes, you can, but you have to take into account that the durability of the battery decreases significantly with minus degrees.

Can the battery be charged outdoors in winter?

No, if the temperature is below 0C degrees! The suitable temperature for charging is room temperature.

How to wash an electric bike?

The electric bike must not be washed with a pressure washer, especially its electronic parts! If your electric bike is very dirty, we recommend cleaning larger dirt from the tires using water from the hose, avoiding pouring water directly on the motor and battery, and then cleaning the remaining parts of the bike with a damp cloth. Finally, the motor and battery should be dried with a soft cloth. It would also be good to oil the chain afterwards.
