The story started when I once had a completely ordinary silver bicycle. Every time I drove it, the ride seemed forever long, tiring and uncomfortable. Cranks and cranks, but there’s no joy in it. For a while I thought it was me. Well, pedaling must be difficult and I can’t enjoy the process of cycling. I didn’t understand why my arms were tired more than my legs when cranking the pedals on the bicycle. 😊 I finally realized that I have the wrong type of bicycle. It was a bike with a sporty riding position and I was trying to cruise.
I like to ride my bike to work when the weather is nice, to ride around on weekends, to discover new places and enjoy the surroundings. But what do you enjoy and observe the surroundings when you are on a hunch over the steering wheel and you can only see the front tire and the road under your nose?! When I came upon this discovery, I decided to find out for myself and buy a bike that suits me. After extensive homework, it became clear that my bike is a city bike. Since I took the matter very seriously, I decided to buy the best version of a city bike that exists at all 😊.
So I wrote down the criteria for what this new bike should be:
- Type – city bike
- Riding position – back straight and easy to crank
- Riding comfort – wide and soft saddle
- Quality – reliable and low maintenance
- Appearance – beautiful, outstanding, stylish and I could also drive in a skirt
After a long search, I managed to get a three-speed city bike Electra Townie (now such models are only electric). My attention was drawn to the fact that Electra has unique patented bike frames: Flat Foot Technology. This patent promised everything what I had dreamed of in cycling: a comfortable riding position with a straight back and that when you stop you don’t have to come off the saddle and cranking is easy. And I was not disappointed in that promise. I rode this great bike for over 7 years with absolutely no problems and comfort. I also participated with my child in the bike trip “How do you live in Muhumaa?” Since the child was still small, he was with me in a wheelchair. This way, this bike was also successfully tested on a longer trip with “extra luggage”😊. (I still drive it in the country and it shows no signs of aging yet)
Several years ago, one day my husband and I went for a bike ride, I on my Electra and he on a sports bike. After cycling, he complained that his back was stiff. I suggested he try my bike andvoilà! After the test ride, his faith in the city bike was also converted.😊 He had no idea that there is such a big difference in riding position between a sports bike and a city bike!
We decided to buy him an Electra city bike as well, but it was not easy to do. It turned out that the bike should have been ordered according to the picture in the catalog, without actually sitting on it. Electra has several models, but choosing a bike based only on the picture didn’t seem like the smartest choice. This actually gave birth to a business idea, we decided to start selling these awesome city bikes in Estonia. We knew from our own experience that test riding is the most important thing with Electra bikes. Our wish is that customers can look at different models in our store and sit in the saddle and try riding them. Just to make sure there is a difference between a bicycle and a bicycle. Appearance for appearance – it’s ultimately a matter of taste, but the advantages of Electra city bikes come to the fore when test driving.
What could be better than selling bikes that we ourselves are fans of? (Drive them!😊) Electra’s quality, fierce appearance and excellent driving comfort are features that we have tested ourselves, and we are happy to share them with you.😊
