We are approached with such questions and concerns at least once a week, but unfortunately we cannot help them. An inexpensive but unknown brand of electric bike made in China may seem quite attractive to people at first glance. The price difference can be thousands of euros. However, these wheels have one big disadvantage: spare parts are significantly more difficult to obtain and repairers are relatively difficult to find. The battery and motor of a little-known e-bike manufacturer can be unique, and it is not at all easy to find spare parts for such e-bikes.
3. Where can you buy a new battery or motor for an electric bicycle?
If you have a high-quality electric bike, you probably won’t need either until you’ve traveled 75,000 kilometers on your electric bike, or one and a half times around the globe! If the rider cranks harder, the engine also gives more power, and if the rider presses the pedals only lightly, the engine also gives less power. As a result, mid-range engines are also slightly more expensive, but at the same time much smoother.
