The winner of the Electra bike raffle is announced!

News

Electra Linnarattad decided to organize a spectacular advertising campaign on Facebook at the beginning of spring 2020. With the aim of growing the ranks of fans and raffling off a comfortable city bike Townie Original 7D among all those who join the page.We chose this model as an award because the Townie is the benchmark for Electra’s comfortable riding position, weighs little and looks stylish. In addition, it also has LED lights powered by an in-hub dynamo, so that the cyclist is always well visible and can see where he is riding. 😊

Since a state of emergency was declared in the country on March 12, 2020, the city bike draw was held virtually on Facebook lives on April 14. Always colorful and with a big heart, the artist Lepatriinu came to the salon completely contactless with a guitar and did a small live performance online. In addition to that, he also acted as a Fortuneteller and selected the name of the bicycle winner – Tiina Teesalu – from among almost two thousand raffle participants!❤️
In addition to the main prize, two consolation prizes were drawn: T-shirt “Cool Cat” – Kadri Kärg-Varris and bicycle watch “Donut” – Tuuli Saluvee. Congratulations to all the winners!❤️

Electra bicycle lottery winner Tiina

Tiina, the winner of the main prize, has already received her new city bike and has already done some rides. When handing over the bike, we also asked Tiina some questions:

Q: How did you come across the campaign on our Facebook page? (were you a fan of our page before or did you become one thanks to the campaign?)

A: Thanks to the campaign, someone I know shared the post and that’s how I got to participate in the draw. Coincidence, nothing else!

Q: What was your very first bicycle?

A: My first bicycle was a tricycle. I ordered my own bicycle from the Hobby Hall catalog a long time ago, the model was probably Eldorado. The second was the Minerva and the current beauty is my third bike.

Q: What bike do you ride now?

A: By mountain bike.

K: Do you plan to ride the won bicycle yourself or do you intend to give it away?

A: I don’t know exactly yet, maybe my daughter will drive it.

Q: Where on the roads will your new bike ride?

Tiina: If with me, then Adavere carried, if daughter, then in Tartu, the city of good thoughts.

Q: If you were to keep the bicycle, would you ride it to work and the store every day or just ride it around in your free time?

A: To go to work, I would have to drive on the Tallinn-Tartu highway, and I wouldn’t want to do that because we don’t have bicycle paths there. So it would rather be fun rides in the immediate area.

Q: What material do you think the winning bicycle frame is made of?

A: Aluminum because it seemed very light!

Q: How old were you when you learned to ride a two-wheeled bicycle?

A: I was about 8 years old. I was learning on my great-aunt’s bike and hit a ditch straight away.

Q: And how was the first test ride of your life with an Electra bicycle?

A: Oh, how convenient! I am otherwise very short and feel very insecure with my current mountain bike. With this bike, your legs stretch out and it feels good! I feel much safer in the saddle of this bike!

Later, we received a warm message from the lucky winner:

Hey, hey! First ride with a new friend and it’s a really comfortable bike! My daughter also got to try it and she really liked it. 😊
Thank you again for the bike and good luck with your business! Sunshine for you! Tiina

NB! The winner of the bike, Tiina Teesalu, works in a nursing home and luckily her workplace is completely free of corona and hopefully it will stay that way. Apparently, this is also due to the fact that the nursing home where he works was closed to visitors already in February. The flu threat at that time smoothly transitioned into an emergency situation. According to Tiina, local life is peaceful for them, and everyday life has not been affected much.

T-shirt winner Kadri Kärg-Varris is from Pärnu.

Kadri really liked Lepatriinu’s performance on FB-lives and he thinks she is an awesome artist!

Kadri was very satisfied with the awesome T-shirt: Many thanks for the T-shirt with a very awesome design. Since it was not possible to win a new bike, the old beauty had to be kicked out from under the threshing floor!”
